Insurance and Road Fund Licence
Road Fund Licence (Road Tax)
Not required for trailers and no additional licence fee payable for the towing vehicle.
Insurance
Third party cover is normally given with vehicle insurance policies for trailers while attached to the vehicle.
Whilst not a legal requirement it is strongly recommended that additional cover is arranged for theft or damage to the trailer and its contents.
